Deleting your BuzzChores account

Last updated: 2 September 2026

BuzzChores is provided by KODOLAB S.R.L. (Romania, registration no. 53158991). This page explains how to delete your BuzzChores account and what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open BuzzChores and sign in.
  2. Go to the Family tab.
  3. Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top bar.
  4. Tap Delete my account.
  5. Read the warning and confirm.

Your account and login are removed straight away and you are signed out.

By email

If you can't sign in, email office@kodolab.dev from the address on your BuzzChores account, with the subject "Delete my account". Because this can permanently delete an entire family's data (see below), we will first reply asking you to confirm before we proceed. Once confirmed, we will complete the deletion within one month, as required by the GDPR.

What gets deleted

If you are the only parent in your family, deleting your account also deletes the entire family: every member profile, every chore, list, reward, redemption and invite, and every other login connected to that family. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is kept

If another parent remains in your family, the chores you created or completed stay in that family's shared history so the family's records stay consistent — but they no longer show your name (your attribution is removed).

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it yourself in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — a subscription keeps renewing until you do. Deleting your account also does not entitle you to a refund for time already paid; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Retention

Deleted data is erased or anonymised from the live system without undue delay. It may persist for up to 30 days in routine encrypted database backups kept for disaster recovery, after which it is permanently gone. Nothing is kept beyond that, except where the law requires us to retain specific records (for example, accounting records for paid subscriptions).
